Storage Unit Sizes and 24/7 Access
What storage unit sizes do you offer?
Myt4you Storage offers four storage-unit sizes:
- 11.6 m² – approximately 4.0 × 2.9 metres
- 18.8 m² – approximately 4.7 × 4.0 metres
- 29.1 m² – approximately 9.7 × 3.0 metres
- 45 m² – approximately 9.8 × 4.6 metres
These units can accommodate household belongings, furniture, business equipment, motorbikes and suitable vehicles, boats, caravans and trailers.
Do your storage units provide more storage volume?
Yes. All our storage units have approximately 3.5 metres of internal height, providing more usable vertical storage space. For example, our 18.8 m² unit provides up to 66 m³ of storage volume—approximately 52% more than a standard 6 × 3 metre unit with a 2.4-metre internal height. Actual usable capacity depends on how safely your belongings can be packed and stacked.
How big of a storage unit do I need?
The right size depends on what you are storing and how much access space you require. Use our storage-unit size calculator or send us a list of your main items so we can help identify a suitable available unit.
What size storage unit is suitable for a three-bedroom house?
A three-bedroom household may require an 18.8 m², 29.1 m² or 45 m² unit, depending on the quantity and dimensions of the furniture, appliances and boxes being stored. Contact us with a list of your main belongings for more specific guidance.
Can I access my storage unit 24/7?
Yes. Customers receive 24/7 access, allowing them to visit their storage unit whenever needed.

Storage-unit pricing depends on the size required and current availability. View our unit sizes and pricing or send us details of what you need to store so we can help identify a suitable option.

Can I rent a storage unit temporarily while moving house?
Yes. Our units can be used for temporary storage while moving house, renovating, building or waiting to move into a new property. The minimum initial storage term is one month.
How much notice do I need to give before moving out?
After the initial one-month storage term, customers must provide at least two weeks’ notice before vacating their unit.
Moving Into Your Storage Unit
What You Need Before Moving In
To make your move-in straightforward, please have the following ready before access to your unit is activated:
- Current photo identification – the front and back of a New Zealand driver licence, or a valid passport.
- Vehicle registration – the registration number of the vehicle you will normally use at the facility.
- First month’s payment – paid upfront before moving in.
- Your own suitable padlock – choose a weatherproof 40–50 mm padlock. A weatherproof combination padlock is the easiest option because there is no key to lose.
You can view suitable 50 mm padlocks at Mitre 10 , or search for a weatherproof 40–50 mm padlock at your local Bunnings Warehouse or Mitre 10 MEGA.
How do I move into a storage unit?
Complete our enquiry form and we will confirm a suitable available unit. Before moving in, you will need to complete the storage agreement, provide the requested identification and vehicle-registration details, and pay the first month’s storage charge.
Can I move into a storage unit on the same day?
Same-day move-in may be available when a suitable unit is vacant and the required agreement, identification and first payment can be completed. Contact us to check current availability.
Does each customer receive their own access code?
Yes. Every customer receives a unique facility access code. This code is used to enter the facility and access the relevant controlled areas.
What payment options are available?
The first month is paid before moving in. Ongoing storage charges can generally be arranged weekly, fortnightly or monthly according to the storage agreement.
Storage Security and CCTV Monitoring
How secure is Myt4you Storage?
The Ravenswood facility has controlled access, unique customer access codes, 24-hour recorded CCTV and professional Triton Security monitoring. Most larger units are individually alarmed, and the facility has well-lit areas and wide sealed driveways.
Are all storage units individually alarmed?
Most larger storage units are individually alarmed. The 11.6 m² and 18.8 m² corridor units are located behind an access-controlled roller door but are not individually alarmed.
